NEW BLOGSPOT TITLE

For the past two months I’ve been thinking of a new title for my blogspot. It’s time to change it. Let’s go back to history why at first I named it Deanne’s Got Milk because at that time when I first discovered blogspot; me and my daughter are having fun playing the game that my sister Mira sent to my daughter which is Got milk, suddenly I have found the passion in writing (totoo ba yan!) that I named it to that game and my daughter’s name. My daughter pop up a suggestion this year, she said Dad why don’t you change the name of it; Ok. After a long time of searching, “It’s All About YOU!!” was the no.1 choice; why? It’s part of the lyrics from the music “Heart of Worship” by Michael W. Smith; yesterday while we were in the mall we went to a videoke bar in SM Fairview; it has small rooms so that you and your family can have a lot of time singing (its very cheap P50 for 1hr) this song speaks to my heart. Here are the lyrics;

HEART OF WORSHIP

MICHAEL W. SMITH

When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless your heart

I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

Chorus
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You
It's all about You, Jesus

King of endless worth
No one could express
How much you deserve
Though I'm weak and poor
All I have is yours
Every single breath

I'll bring you more than a song
You're looking into my heart
Looking into my heart

PACMAN

I’m not talking of the classic video game or the playstation game which by the way me,my wife and Raydon had finished (grabe ang hirap sa playstation niyan kaya teamwork kaming tatlo) but that was long ago. I’m talking about the best pound for pound fighter and most popular boxer not only in the Philippines but also in the United States. Ano kilala niyo na? kung hindi pa, take a break and enjoy life. I have learned the sport of boxing when I was young during Muhammad Ali days it was my father who introduced me to this sport of brawling. I remember the days when I would come home from school and see my father watching boxing or he would tell me can you check other channels for boxing. Those were the days; Filipinos have been through different past times like watching TV novellas like Bakekang or Korean novellas which I would say it’s very good to watch if you have a copy from the beginning to the end. Hey! wait a minute let’s go back to the topic. Never before since the days of Gabriel “flash” Elorde that we Filipinos have never been too hyped in the sports of boxing, well how about the Tyson’s era; well they are not Filipinos (hindi sila pinoy). I’m talking about the most exciting boxer and possibly a future congressman Manny “pacman” Pacquiao, this fighter would take center stage again in Texas this coming Saturday April 14, 2007 in the states but April 15, 2007 in the Philippines at around 8am; expect the whole Philippines would be watching. I’m also putting a link on the right hand corner if you want to know more about Pacman you can visit his website. I am what you say a fan of this fighter I like his attitude in boxing and practice, I have a copy of some fights especially his fight with Erik Morales its fun to watch you’ll never get tired of watching and watching(adik sa laban ni pacman). The Philippines is in heaven when it comes to recognition whenever he wins fight. Best athlete and most riches athlete so far in the country even surpassing all of the basketball players in the PBA. This guy ROCKS!

One Year!

It’s been a year since I started here at blogspot, it all started from an inspiration and disappointment that I decided to do something for a change. I’ve tried browsing on the different articles that I have shared and might say “okey lang”. I’m not the best writer in the world but I want to learn.

Lots have change but I’m still the same guy that knows how to laugh, care and share what I know. In the middle of last year nawalan ako ng gana na mag-blog sabi ko, Im not good at it but I’m not that easy to give up, kaya biruin mo naka one year pa ako.

I’m going to write and share something at least two or three articles in a month. It depends on my schedule. If you can give me ideas and you also want to contribute then its Ok. Your welcome! Parang this is a form of outlet to the busy life that we have here in this world. Hopefully I could maintain this blogspot until I live. Siguro this time it would be a mixture of tagalog and english ang gagamitin ko dito. Happy one year to me! Naks Greeting my ownself. Good day to all and Have a Nice Holy Week!

Lord Of The Rings; Book Reading

I've been thinking the past week on what to do because I'm getting bored with no new things to get done, so a few days had past just going to my daily routine. I find out that one of my colleagues is into reading books. He said that last year he had read a total of 30 books, (WOW this man is a bookworm; he needs "pampurga") well according to statistics; an average man should be reading at least 20 books a year to sharpen his memory and knowledge. How many books have I read last year 2006; i started counting 1.2.3.4.5…. what else is that all, the year had past and I did not even reach the magic 20 number for reading books. I'm more to just surfing the web, reading emails, downloading but not reading books. Okey! stop worrying and start reading a book.

What will I read and where can I get the book? A question why sometimes people dont want to read books, they cannot get the book they want. I want to read Lord of the Rings 1, 2 and 3 ; of course you would ask why that book; its true that i have already watch them in movies and i even have a copy of the dvd for each book but there are stories that are not included on the movie that you will find on the book and you will see it very interesting. I started researching the author to have at least a background on this famous man J.R.R. Tolkien who created it all. Well for me no one can surpass the beauty, suspense and the long wait for the next movie to come; I remember then when the Fellowship of the Ring was shown, we were living in Clark and we all went to Robinsons San Fernando to watch it ( Me, My wife, daughter, Mama, Raydon and Peter ). I have questions in my mind what is this movie all about; what is the middle earth? ( is it purgatoryo or equator ) the first movie was fantastic with all the effects that they did, i said i'll watch the second movie which you need to wait for one year. Why don't you buy a book? well at that time that book cost a lot of fortune and we have a lot of expenses. The second movie came out which is Fellowship of the Towers, which is much more thrilling and of course you need to wait another year for the third part which is Return of the King.

I started asking my friends if they do have the book; lo and behold they dont have. My colleague who is a bookworm ( he really needs to take combantrin ) said try downloading it on the web, he gave a website in which to download and I got the book and started reading it, it took me one week and a half to finish the three books.I have fun reading, especially the additional information that I gathered . All I can say is the word F which is for Fantastic.

I started the year with three books and 17 more to go, the more the better. Start reading a book and who knows you might even surpass the magic 20 number.

"To aquire the habit of reading is to construct for yourself a refuge from almost all the miseries of life."

P.M. Acosta Drive

Have you heard that name or street? all of you would say; of course not; where in the hell is that; why do you want us to know it. Actually that name came from my father who is an Air Force soldier with a rank of Colonel. P.M. means Pedro Magarin the name of my father. Before he died the street in front of their office is not yet cemented, so what he did is to gather his soldiers and start cementing the road; no need for funds since they have a lot of cement material. This person is a very likeable one because he knows how to be down to earth with his soldiers; he can be approached if their is any problem (an officer na pang-masa). Its been almost five years since we visited the place. Its in Clarkfield, Pampanga Air Force City. We have stayed for almost seven years in Clark, I have a lot of memories in pampanga that i would never forget. It's in this beautiful city that my daughter was born, I've worked in this Special Economic Zone! I Love This Place! It's one of the cleanest and greenest place in the country. We went home to Tarlac last christmas of 2006 and we planned to go to Clark to do some picture and video taking on that street. Its a 1 hour drive from Tarlac, the place is fantastic since its one of the former military camp of United States. We were greeted by the soldiers since they still know my mother and we did a lot of picture taking which is attach right now. We have a lot of fun! So if you are going to visit Clarkfield try going to Air Force city its beside the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport and you will see the street named P.M. Acosta drive.

Together with my makukulit na nieces.

My beautiful my mother.

The office of my father.

My wife and brother raydon still at the driveway named after my father.

My beautiful wife.

Mama and wife.

The Acosta clan.

The ever dashing yours truly.

LEADERS PERSPECTIVE II

“The moment avoiding failure becomes your motivation, you're down the path of inactivity. You stumble only if you're moving.”

Roberto C. Goizueta

CEO, Coca-Cola comp

1981-1997

He coined 'Coke Is It!'

Roberto Goizueta was born in Havana on November 18, 1931, to a prominent family in Cuba's sugar industry, and studied at a private academy in Connecticut. There, he polished his limited English by watching the same movies over and over. He earned a degree in chemical engineering at Yale University, then returned home in 1953 to join the family enterprise. But a year later, he entered the soda business by answering a classified advertisement in a Havana newspaper.

Working his way up from technical operations, Goizueta was named a vice chairman in 1979, president in 1980 and and chairman of the board and chief executive officer on March 1, 1981. The new CEO immersed himself in the company's accounting and economics. With a new, punchy advertising slogan, "Coke Is It!" he successfully increased domestic sales while continuing to plumb new international markets.

During his tenure at Coke, Goizueta turned around what some business analysts once called an old, conservative company by emphasizing global sales and making moves never seen by the company before. His motto: return on investment and stock price. "The curse of all curses is the revenue line," he once said, referring to the need to be profitable.

And fortunate for him and Coke investors, Goizueta's company was just that. Since becoming CEO in 1981, he created more wealth for shareholders than any other CEO in history, largely due to his global marketing skills. Total return on Coke stock was more than 7,100 percent during his tenure, according to analysts. He owned nearly 16 million Coke shares worth roughly $1 billion, making him America's first corporate manager to achieve billionaire status through owning stock in a company he didn't help found or take public, business analysts said.

A lifelong heavy smoker, Goizueta was diagnosed with lung cancer in the summer of 1997 and died on October 18, at the age of sixty-five. He was buried in Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta. Since his death, Coca-Cola has maintained its worldwide presence but has not come close to reaching the financial heights it enjoyed during the years of Goizueta's leadership.

LEADERS PERSPECTIVE I

“I knew that if I failed I wouldn’t regret that, but I knew the one thing I might regret is not trying.”

Jeffrey Bezo

Founder & CEO, Amazon

Jeffrey Bezos has always been interested in anything that can be revolutionized by computers. Intrigued by the amazing growth in use of the Internet, Bezos created a business model that leveraged the Internet's unique ability to deliver huge amounts of information rapidly and efficiently.

At D. E. Shaw, a firm specializing in the application of computer science to the stock market, Bezos was hired as much for his overall talent as for any particular assignment. He rose quickly at Shaw, becoming a senior Vice President, and looked forward to a bright career in finance, when he made a discovery that changed his life, and the course of business history.

The Internet was originally created by the Defense Department to keep its computer networks connected during an emergency, such as natural catastrophe or enemy attack. Over the years, it was adopted by government and academic researchers to exchange data and messages. In 1994, there was still no Internet commerce to speak of. Jeffrey Bezos observed that Internet usage was increasing by 2300 percent a year. He saw an opportunity for a new sphere of commerce, and immediately began considering the possibilities. Bezos's employers weren't prepared to proceed with such a venture, and Bezos knew the only way to seize the opportunity was to go into business for himself. It would mean sacrificing a secure position in New York, but he decided to make the leap.

Bezos reviewed the top 20 mail order businesses, and asked himself which could be conducted more efficiently over the Internet than by traditional means. Books were the commodity for which no comprehensive mail order catalogue existed, because any such catalogue would be too big to mail; perfect for the Internet, which could share a vast database with a virtually limitless number of people.

From the beginning, Bezos sought to increase market share as quickly as possible, at the expense of profits. When he disclosed his intention to go from being "Earth's biggest bookstore" to "Earth's biggest anything store," skeptics thought Amazon was growing too big too fast, but a few analysts called it "one of the smartest strategies in business history."

Through each round of expansion, Jeff Bezos continually emphasized the "Six Core Values: customer obsession, ownership, bias for action, frugality, high hiring bar and innovation." "Our vision," he said, "is the world's most customer-centric company. The place where people come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online." Amazon moved into music CDs, videos, toys, electronics and more. When the Internet's stock market bubble burst, Amazon re-structured, and while other dot.com start-ups evaporated, Amazon was posting profits.

Today, Jeff Bezos lives north of Seattle and is increasingly concerned with philanthropic activities. "Giving away money takes as much attention as building a successful company," he has said.

Have a good month to all!

GALL BLADDER STONE REMOVAL - The Natural Way

GALL BLADDER STONE REMOVAL - The Natural Way
by Dr Lai Chiu-Nan

It has worked for many. If it works for you please pass on the good news.
Chiu Nan is not charging for it, so we should make it free for everyone.
Your reward is when someone, through your word of mouth, benefits from the regime.

Gallstones may not be everyone's concern. But they should be because we all have them. Moreover, gallstones may lead to cancer.

"Cancer is never the first illness," Chiu Nan points out. "Usually, there
are a lot of other problems leading to cancer. In my research in China, I
came across some materials, which say that people with cancer usually have stones.

We all have gallstones. It's a matter of big or small, many or few. One of
the symptoms of gallstones is a feeling of bloatedness after a Heavy meal. You feel like you can't digest the food. If it gets more serious, you feel pain in the liver area." So if you think you have gallstones, Chiu Nan offers the following method to remove them naturally. The treatment is also good for those with weak liver, because the liver and gallbladder are closely linked.

Regimen:

*For the first five days, take four glasses of apple juice every day. Or
eat four or five apples, whichever you prefer. Apple juice softens the
gallstones. During the five days, eat normally.

*On the sixth day, take no dinner. At 6 pm, take a teaspoon of Epsom salt
(magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm water.

* At 8 pm, repeat the same. Magnesium sulphate opens the gallbladder ducts.

* At 10 pm, take half-cup olive oil (or sesame oil) with half cup fresh
lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it. The oil lubricates the stones to ease
their passage.

The next morning, you will find green stones in your stools. "Usually they
float," Chiu Nan notes. "You might want to count them. I have had people who pass 40, 50 or up to 100 stones. That s a lot..! "Even if you don't have any symptoms of gallstones, you still might have some. It's always good to give your gall bladder a clean up now and then .

Note: You can purchase the Epsom Salt at the Wellness Institute or call
722-2354 or any local chemical stores near you like Allysons Chemicals

Or any other company that do carry food chemicals. [Recommended period: Do it once a year]

I've checked Alyson's Chemical, (located at 1425 G. Araneta Ave. QC Tel.
712-2266). They sell it at P15/kilo. Compared to Wellness I believe they
sell @ P10/tbsp., which is quite expensive.

My officemate tried this method after I post this info at our bulletin
board, very thankful that she found the natural method --- she was about to undergo a laparascopic procedure, but she postponed it when she experience relief by doing the above method.

Learn To Wait

We are expecting a promotion or a blessing but it did not happen suddenly we are frustrated as if our back is against the world. We don’t have the patience to wait. We want it now. You feel that everyone is passing you by. As if there is no more challenge to life, everything is routinely. Suddenly you wake up as if you are hungry for something. You kneel down and pray. Asking GOD what have you done wrong? You don’t get any response. As if GOD is not listening. All you did was to move on and continue having the faith. You divulge yourself into working much harder, doubling your effort, doing the extra mile and keeping the faith. You’re not expecting any recognition or promotion. You just keep on perfecting your skills and knowledge. Suddenly one day, you’re not expecting anything. A friend of yours suddenly says, I saw your name on the list of those who got promoted. You close your eyes and thank GOD!

Not ours to know the reason why

Unanswered is our prayer,

But ours to wait for God’s own time

To lift the cross we bear. —Anon.

When we bend our knees to pray, God bends His ear to listen.

We must leave the unknowable to the all-knowing One. He is listening and working things out His way. —Dave Branon

Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings. —Psalm 17:8

CLICK

Me and my wife had just finished watching the movie Click by Adam Sandler. I keep on wandering what if life passes with me not knowing what had happened. The movie has a moral lesson that family comes first; no matter how busy you are you must have a time for your family. The past few weeks have been very busy that sometimes I go home very tired and go to sleep. It’s good to have a remote control where you can fast forward your life you can control others but everything will passes by that you don’t remember what had happened. The movie is very touching especially when he fast forwards his life to see what had happened to his promotion, when he went home his family has changed. I saw my wife wiping her eyes. I remember our OFW (overseas Filipino workers) they would go abroad for years and come back home not knowing what had happened, it’s so sad that they have to sacrifice their time for the family so that they could earn money. No wonder there are lots of broken families. So get your remote control and click play to watch it.

-----------

Another movie worth watching is Nanny McPhee, the movie talks about children of today who are very hard headed. You should watch it with your children. Children nowadays are very intelligent that they forget that they are still children and needs to listen to their parents.

ITALY WON THE WORLD CUP

ITALY WON THE WORLD CUP

After all the hype in football, the Italian won the most popular sports game in the world. It’s very popular because all most every nation plays it. The favorites lost; like Brazil, France and Germany. Even my favorite country which is Korea did not even enter the round of 16. Zinedine Zidane was given a red card on the finals and has been removed from the game but his efforts earned him the adidas Golden Ball. I remember my high school principal his name is Fr. Miguel which is an Italian, was very jolly and he was a fan of football. He likes Batangas coffee, which is called Barako. From underdogs to become the Champions, that’s Italy. It will be another four years before we see this kind of game again. It will be held in South Africa in 2010. Kick some balls.

PACMAN WON

Manny Pacquiao won against Oscar Larios by unanimous decision on the 12th round but he floored chololo twice. He is now getting ready for the third match with Erik Morales at Las Vegas on November 18th can’t wait for that fight. Go for it Pacman were behind you.

WORLD CUP FEVER

People are getting wild and fancied on the team that they are routing for, if you don’t know what it is then you are not updated. It’s actually the Olympics of football, it is held every four years and there is elimination before your country qualifies for the world cup. Football was not a popular sport in my country but I became a lover of this game when I studied at Don Bosco (Tarlac) and became a player in our intramural games, our school games are actually one school year so you get to play your chosen sports the whole year round.

Brazil is very difficult to beat in football with the entire professional player that they have like Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, of course we have the European countries including the host which is Germany which is also one of the favorites. I like South Korea but right now they were eliminated by Sweden, they were underdogs but they actually qualified in the semi-final when it was held in their country last 2002. It was LEE Woon-Jae their goalkeeper and AHN Jhung whan are my favorite players their not as good as David Beckham of England but you can see their fighting heart. LEE Woon-Jae said after the fight, the game is over let’s start training for the next world cup in 2010 which will be held in South Africa.

The round of 16 is being played. I’m routing for Brazil now that Korea has been eliminated. It’s going to be an explosive game if Germany and Brazil will fight for the final. So go ahead and watch it. Kick that soccer ball.

ANOTHER CHANCE

I was reading my email and found this beautiful poem. Here it is:

ANOTHER CHANCE

How often we wish for another chance
to make a fresh beginning.
A chance to blot out our mistakes
And change failure into winning.

It does not take a new day
To make a brand new start,
It only takes a deep desire
To try with all our heart.

To live a little better
And to always be forgiving
And to add a little sunshine
To the world in which we're living.

So never give up in despair
And think that you are through,
For there's always a tomorrow
And the hope of starting new.
